National Night Out 2007 - Thank You from MURC!

The Board of Trustees from the Midtown Urban Renaissance Corporation (MURC) of Neptune would like to thank the following officials, organizations and businesses for their help and generosity in putting on a successful National Night Out-Block Party on August 7th, 2007.

Our sincerest appreciation goes to Chief Howard O’Neil, Lt. Drew LaFrance and the Neptune Police Department for partnering with MURC to organize an evening of fun and community awareness against crime and drugs. A special thanks to Committee woman Mary Beth Jahn for her involvement in this project.

Thank you to NJ Attorney General Ann Milgram, Neptune’s Mayor James Manning, Deputy Mayor Randy Bishop, Committeeman Dr. Michael Brantley and Committeeman Thomas Catley for coming out in support of National Night Out (NNO) and for being accessible to the community.

Thank you to the Neptune Township Municipal Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, the Neptune Housing Authority Tenants Patrol, Neptune’s Fire Department, Public Works Department and EMS Workers for their volunteerism and contributions to this event.

We greatly appreciate the generous donations from the Neptune Township PBA Local #74, the FOP Lodge #19, Neptune Township Board of Education, The DeMaria Family Foundation, CityWorks out of Trenton, Greater Emanuel Temple – Bishop Carolyn Webb, Pastor, Neptune ShopRite, McDonalds and the Wonder Bread Company in Neptune City.

To all of the businesses that advertised on our NNO Tee Shirt, Thank You for your support. Food Pantry, ADT Security, Ecological Solar Systems and brothers from the Zeta Epsilon Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha.

A very special Thanks to the NJ Youth Corp of Asbury Park and the R.O.T.C Cadets from Neptune High School. These teenagers volunteered their time to help supervise games with the younger children.

It was an evening of “Unity in the Community” and we thank everyone that came out. Remember that together we can make a difference.
